So me and my best buddy Rebekka decided we needed to go on a day trip this summer. Since we've both been to Flagstaff a zillion times and anything you do in Tuscon costs money we decided to go check out the red rocks of Sedona. I left Steven with my mom that morning and then we took off with Rebekka behind the wheel (we all know my driving record sucks). It was a really fabulous day trip. First we stopped to check out the red rocks and then drove through the town just to get ourselves oriented.
After that we stopped at this quaint (quaint was my word of that day) arts and crafts village that had lots of fun statues to pose with. it was very reminiscient of our high school prom day date.

By that time it was 11am and we were both starving so we ate at this random restuarant. We were the only ones there (LITERALLY) and I have to say that my food was nasty. I had decided to get a Navajo Taco but they accidently gave me the vegetarian. It was loaded with green chilies and I truly paid the price for eating those (yes I took a long trip to the bathroom after lunch).
So when all that fun was done, we decided we wanted to take a hike. We went to the state park visitor's center and a nice man showed us some maps on how to get to a quaint trail. He also told us that there were some secret ruins just off the trail and he gave us vague directions on how to find them. The trail was really quaint and nice and easy however, when we tried to find these secret ruins we were very unsuccessful and we 
got a tad bit lost. We think we ended up going onto another trail but really we're not really sure. We also think he was trying to lure us into some sort of muderous trap and there really were no secret ruins (we are truly wierd0s). Really though it was fun and we made it back to our car just fine.

It was fun to see the neat ruins and be amazed how smart these native 
americans were. All and all it was a great trip. It was fun to reanact our high school days and just be silly. Good times:) -J
