Pumpkin Fun

It seems that since I had Steven, the whole pumpkin carving thing has been a stressful obligation for me. With Tyler always busy nights and weekends it would never get done until a couple days before Halloween. Well this year I pledged to make it less stressful so we have now carved our pumpkins 3 weeks before Halloween. Yes, I know they will be rotten by the time Halloween rolls around but it was worth it. We had plenty of time, we had friends over and it was a nice, relaxing and actually very fun experience for once!

After eating at Fuddruckers and then going shopping at little pumpkin patch, here's what went down:

Steven was not disgusted by the pumpkin guts for the first time ever! He even helped scoop out my pumpkin's guts!

Ben wasn't actually appalled at the pumpkin guts- this appalled look was a result of the camera flash. He did not like mommy taking his picture. As can be further testified to in the picture below...

Steven was given a butter knife and allowed to "carve" his own pumpkin. He enjoyed hacking away at it which made me very nervous. I hope my son is not a future serial killer...

This is our friend Pattie carving her pumpkin. She had bought some pumpkin patterns at Wal-Mart and her pumpkin and her baby to be's pumpkin turned out amazing!

There is Future Baby's cat pumpkin on the left, Pattie's pumpkin in the middle and Brian's pumpkin on the right.

Benjamin's pumpkin remains uncarved on the left, Steven is the hacked up one next to it, then there's mine and Tyler's pumpkin is on the far right.
